Bat Walk
Adult Programs
Service Description
Learn about common species of bats living in NJ and of the visiting species that summer in our area. Discuss the impacts of urbanization and associated light pollution on bat activity and discover the benefits bats provide to both humans and the ecosystem. Did you know? Bats are vital pollinators. Just one little brown bat can consume up to 3,000 insects in a single night! (Bye, mosquitoes!) Participants are responsible for appropriate footwear and clothing. Excursions occur on flat ground; we will be walking through some brush and grass. It is recommended that you apply bug spray/deterrent before the event.
Cancellation Policy
Registrations must be canceled 24 hours before your scheduled program by emailing cancellations@soar.science. If you are unable to do so, we are happy to reschedule you for a different date. Refunds are processed for timely cancellations only.
